  • Carex s. ‘Banana Boat’ (Creeping Broad-leaved Sedge)
  • Astilbe ‘Delft Lace’
  • Brunnera m. ‘Looking Glass’ (Heartleaf Brunnera)
  • Helleborus Dark and Handsome’ (Lenten Rose)
  • Hosta ‘Cool as a Cucumber’
  • Vinca ‘Illumination’ (Myrtle, Periwinkle)
  • Heucherella Eye Spy’ (Foamy Bells)
  • Carex e. ‘Bowles Golden’ (Gold Sedge)
  • Athyrium filix-femina ‘Lady in Red’ (Lady Fern)

To keep your containers looking great all summer long look for later blooming plants such as:

  • Polemonium ‘Touch of Class’ (Variegated Jacob’s Ladder)
  • Heuchera Wild Rose’ (Coral Bells)
  • Digitalis p. ‘Dalmatian Purple’ (Foxglove)

In July a mix of red, white, and blue will look especially great! Try:

  • Echinacea p. ‘Virgin’ (Coneflower)
  • Dianthus Electric Red’ (Pinks)
  • Delphinium g. ‘Summer Cloud’ (Dwarf Delphinium)
  • Clematis (red) such as ‘Red Cardinal’
  • Campanula Pearl Deep Blue’ or White (Bellflower)
