WALK THROUGH – Our sod installation expert will walk the job with you identifying key areas to make sure everyone is on the same page. We will also mark all underground cables and irrigation equipment, to make sure no damage takes place during the sod installation.
REMOVAL – During the initial preparation process you will have existing grass, weeds, and rocks that need to be removed.
PREPARATION – All yards are tilled to a depth of six inches. Larger yards and athletic fields will require grading equipment such as Bobcats and tractors. Once this process is complete, all top soil or soil additives will be installed.
SOD SUPPLY – Every order is cut fresh the evening before delivery, ensuring that your new sod is on the ground in less than 24 hours after harvesting.
WALK THROUGH – Once the grading and soil prep is finished, and the sod has been delivered, our experts will do a pre-installation walk through. This includes marking all designs, curves, and borders with landscape paint.
SOD INSTALLATION – After the second walk through, our sod installation expert starts the actual installation process. We work to make sure all sod is installed in a standard checker board pattern. We also ensure that each piece of sod is tightly placed against each other. Once the installation is complete, we use weighted sod rollers to remove all air pockets and to help adhere the sod to the soil.
SITE CLEAN UP & FINAL WALK THROUGH – Once the job is complete and all of our equipment is out of the way, we like to do a final walk through with you, to make sure you are happy with the installation process. We also do one final walk through on our own, to ensure that the job is up to our standards, as well.
